(AIDitives in Food, Food Irradiation and Genetically Modified Food) & p. 218-13th ed. (AIDitives in Food and Food Biotechnology) and the article: “Chemical Cuisine Learn about Food AIDitives” by the Center for Science in the Public Interest.
Check out the entire article (all listed substances) and descriptions, then go to your pantry/refrigerator or review items at the grocery store. Find two food aIDitives to discuss that are currently present in the foods you consume (and listed in the category of: cut back; caution; certain people should avoid; avoid). Defend whether you agree or disagree with aIDing the substance to food and why. Do your findings change your attitude about purchasing the product?
