Website for Exercise: Children’s Defense Fund Legislative Report Card

Review the grades for legislators in NJ. Identify and briefly discuss some of the highest ranked legislators in NJ on behalf of the interests of children. (You will probably need to look at their official websites to understand why are they ranked so highly). What topics/programs/policies do they support?
Using the CDF Report Card, examine a handful of top ranked (scored an “A” or a “B” and bottom ranked (score a “C” or lower) legislators from around the country.
Identify who the legislators are and what state they are from. Again, based on your review of their websites, what topics/policies/programs are they supporting or not supporting to deserve these grades?
Reflect on what this means for Children’s Rights and for advocacy efforts on behalf of children and youth.
