History
The nurse on the previous shift reports to you that Mr. Mayman, admitted with tremors, is
depressed and angry about being in the hospital.
Dale is a 51 year old white male divorced twice and just remarried for the third time. He was a
truck driver for many years. He would binge drink on weekends so extensive that he was
diagnosed with chronic liver disease secondary to alcoholic cirrhosis. He cannot work now and is
on disability. He was just recently told he has high blood pressure and is on a salt restriction. He
started going to the Methodist church requesting redemption for all his sins.
Terrell Wallace
History
Terrell Wallace is a 12 year old African American who has sickle cell disease. Terrell is the youngest of
three children. His older brother, Tony, 24 years of age, also has sickle cell disease. Terrells sister,
Tanika 15 years old does not have the disease.
His mother, Kathleen, is a Licensed Practical Nurse at
the local hospital. His father, Thomas, is a high school English teacher. The family goes to the Methodist
church and is active with the church. Terrell is in 7th grade and makes Bs in all of his grades. He loves
music and plays the trombone in the middle school band.
