1) Begin by writing a brief summary of the handout explaining what genre means and why it s important; include the main elements that create a particular genre.
2) Then, using the 4 elements discussed in the handout, write a brief overview that describes a different genre (other than the example of movie reviews). I recommend choosing a genre relevant to your studies, academic program, or career, for example: academic paper, case study, university syllabus, etc. Please choose a written genre, not a genre of film or music.
Be sure to include APA citations for the handout (Hint: it would probably be described as a web page or piece of online content with an organization as the author).
