I don’t understand this Art & Design question and need help to study.

Listen carefully to the Medieval Chants below. This is sacred music of the early and late Medieval eras. Identify and discuss texture in each piece. Which one is monophonic; which one is polyphonic? Explain. Include in your discussion pitch and melody. How would you describe the pitch range in each? In other words how would you describe each according to how conjunct or disjunct? Please review the Elements of Sound. Which one is the earlier chant? Discuss melisma and drone too; do you hear them in these particular chants? Remember to define the vocabulary in this assignment as you apply it. You know from your readings that the chants were part of the Catholic Mass.
