I’m trying to learn for my Social Science class and I’m stuck. Can you help?

The way that racial wealth disparities have been reinforced by public policy decisions that were not necessarily motivated by racial animosity. In other words, a system – in this case, the housing market – could operate in a discriminatory way without any individual person being a “racist” as that word is commonly understood.

Please discuss the following questions using the two links below regarding this issue:

1. How might the phenomena of social inequality along racial lines and access (or lack of access) to wealth mutually influence each other? In other words, how do social forces prevent the accumulation of wealth in certain communities? How does the lack of wealth then cycle back to reinforce social inequality?
2. In your opinion, how does this cycle of mutual influence relate to the larger concept of “systemic racism”?
3. What are some problems that we face trying to deal with this?
