The purpose of this assignment is for you have the opportunity to engage in a divided attention demonstration and to reflect on some of the consequences of attempting to perform more than one task at a time.

The activity can be found on the “Chapter 10 Part 2” page of this week’s module under “Divided Attention”. There are two parts of the activity, and together they should take no more than 5 minutes or so.

After completing the activity, answer the following questions:

1. How did your performance differ (or stay the same) for the second part of the activity compared to the first? Discuss this in a few sentences, reporting any observations you made when comparing your performance on these across the two trials. Try to think of at least 3 different ways your performance differed. (3 pts)

2. Discuss how your experience was different across the two trials. (3 pts)

3. How does this activity simulate divided attention? (4 pts)
