Fact Pattern for Drafting Complaint

On January 15, 2012, Bradley Grant Smith was driving to Target to pick up some groceries. On his way he was rear-ended by another driver, Sidney Marie Jones. A police officer arrived on the scene of the accident and issued Sidney a ticket for careless driving. Bradley was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with a broken leg, a concussion and a laceration to his forehead. Bradley had to get 12 stitches on his head that will leave a permanent scar. Bradley’s car was damaged in the amount of $2,500.00 and he had to miss 2 weeks of work. The accident happened in Tampa, James County, Florida, where Bradley lives; the Defendant is a resident of the neighboring county in Florida, Madison County. The total damages being sought are over $15,000.00. Both counties are within the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
