You are being assigned to 1 of the 38 Great Myths of Aging in our lifespan class. The learning outcome is that you will be able to critically analyze and separate fact from popular fiction. I am assigned two different myths which are about healthy eating and toilet training when early childhood. USE THE ATTACHED IMAGES FROM THE TEXTBOOK!!!

2. State your Myth. In three sentences (and no more than three sentences), provide a synopsis of the scientific knowledge/truth surrounding the myth.
3. Were you surprised by the myth? Did you believe parts of it to be true before you read the text?
4. Do you think this myth is perpetuated more by males or females within our society? Does it matter where you live in the United States (or within the world) in terms of believing the myth? Specifically address one’s culture/ethnic/family background. Does or could age impact the myth (e.g., does a teenager believe it, but not an elderly person or vice versa?)
