The topic i chose of social significance in the U.S is drug abuse. Drug deaths are on a rise. In the united states alone there were 70,237 in 2017 thats crazy. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/databriefs/db329-h.pdf Personally my sons father died due to drug abuse in 2016. Drug abuse affects a lot of people not just the people doing the abusing most have family that are all affected by thing. Drug abuse is something i feel very strong about.
