Development in Adulthood
The Welsh Government has heard about the mid-life crisis’ and wants to know if it should have an official policy on it. In other words, is the concept important enough that there should be mid-life crisis champions’, special help lines for people concerned about it, official guidance documents prepared for health and social care service providers, etc? Or does the mid-life crisis not exist, or is too vague a notion for a coherent label to be applied to a significant group of people?
Your individual problem should be a 1500 word report which aIDresses the following issues:
(1) what the mid-life crisis is
(2) evaluate critically the evidence for and against its existence and/or its level of usefulness as a descriptive label
(3) from this evaluation, you must devise a set of brief guidelines for the Welsh Government each of which must be supported by the evidence you have gathered.
