strengthened the argument?
2) How well does the author organize the information? Is the writing easy to follow?
3) What is the point of view of the author? Does that point of view negatively or positively affect the
treatment of the subject?
4) What does the author do well? What could the author have done better?
5) How does the book contribute to the field of history? Does it make a significant contribution?
